Hassel – Private Detective

The re-enactment of the Palme assassination develops into a therapeutic seance.

Detective inspector Roland Hassel has retired. Nevertheless, he becomes increasingly absorbed in the unsolved murder of Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme. He seeks answers in vain from Ring P1’s Täppas Fågelberg, Göran Lambertz’s legal clinic and the conspiracy theorist Sven Anér. The possible culpability of the Stockholm police in the Palme assassination prompts the old TV hero to turn into a private detective, who searches for answers in compulsively directed reconstructions of the shooting on Sveavägen. They search for the solution to the riddle in trivial details: in the perpetrator’s fluttering trousers, Lisbeth Palme’s body rotation and fall, in hidden lifts and prepared hiding places.
